Ingredients
- 1 (18.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1/2 cup pecans (chopped fine)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a small bowl, mix the pecans and sugar. Set aside.
- Mix cake mix according to package directions using the water, oil and eggs. Pour into prepared 9 X 13 inch cake pan. Spread evenly.

- Cool completely.
- Top with whipped topping and chill at least 2 hours before serving.
- Store leftovers in refrigerator.
